Short and Frost make Saxons bow

3:14pm Thursday 2nd September 2010

WORCESTER Warriors centre Andy Short and scrum-half Ollie Frost are set to debut for Stourbridge Saxons tomorrow when they kick-off their National One campaign at home to league newcomers Macclesfield.

The highly-rated Warriors academy pair will line up in a squad that includes former Sixways duo Shaun Ruwers and Jordan Page.

With former South African World Cup star Thinus Delport unavailable, the full-back shirt is likely to be taken by exciting England Counties ace Tom Jarvis, one of 13 players making their Stourbridge debuts in front of head coach Tony Windo.

Ambitious chairman Dick Jeavons-Fellows said: “Stourbridge Saxons now have the best playing squad possible and a professional coaching team with experience to make the squad perform.”

Kick-off at Stourton Park is 3pm and Warriors season ticket holders get discounted admission at £8. Under 16s are admitted free.
