TWELVE months ago, Worcestershire went through the entire campaign without a win in the LV= County Championship.
Now with just two matches remaining, the New Road side are in a three-way fight with Glamorgan and Gloucestershire for promotion back to the top flight.
Many will argue it is too soon for the County’s youngsters, perhaps. But many of the same people were saying it would be a long time before Division One cricket returns to New Road.
Steve Rhodes’ side have proved many wrong in the four-day format this year, of course, they still have to beat Middlesex tomorrow and then secure victory over Division Two winners-elect Sussex next week at New Road.
