ALL three sections of Ombersley Golf Club came together to compete in the annual captains’ away day.

Played on The Kings course at The Warwickshire Golf Club, 44 members took part and raised £220 for the three captains’ charities.

The day’s overall winner was Maurice Candlin, with 10 year-old Jake Kelly taking the best men’s prize.

Juliet Gregson won the best ladies prize with 38 points, while best senior went to Trevor Hayes with 34 points.

The team prize to Candlin, Adrian Smith, Joan Dowty and Maureen Dillon. Dan Garbett won the longest drive and Laureen Moyse nearest the pin.
