Halfway House AC travelled to Docklow Pools where carp ace Rob Wilson netted 55-6 on floating bread as well as on corn in the margins off peg 28.

Tony Whitcher took second with a margin-caught carp net going 50-6.

Andy Hodgetts weighed in 48-2 from peg 19 and fourth was club champion Richard Oliver with 44-2.

A seven-a-side contest between Rifleman’s Arms, Barley Mow, Ombersley AC, Aero AC and Barbourne AC was held on rain-lashed Meadow Pool at Moorlands Farm.

The best team were Barley Mow, who beat Barbourne by just one point.

Individual honours went to Rifleman’s Ashley Walker, who took 62-5 to the scales.

Barbourne’s Terry Box was second with 48-12 ahead of Martin Dugmore (Ombersley) with 46-13.

Sixteen-year-old Gary Brixton junior relegated his father Gary senior into second place in Portobello’s contest on Broadheath’s Ash Pool with a pellet-caught carp and skimmer catch of 123-3.

Gary senior’s catch of 106-1 consisted of fish to double figures which accepted his sweetcorn offering.

Pete Coldrick claimed third with 55-13 and fourth was Lol Jameson with 51-4.

Whitehall AC tackled Oak Pool at Ockeridge where Mark Bayliss netted 113-2 of paste-caught carp from the margins of peg 10.

Club star Nigel Crane finished second with 83-8, Dave Warren had to settle for third with 81-10 and fourth was Carl Graham’s 59-8.

Graham and Anthony Staite went through to the club knock-out final.

Luke Reardon took the honours in the latest Arbo AC contest on Hallow Pools with a method-caught carp and silver fish net of 28-3.

Graham Clarke was runner-up with 21-1, ahead of Dave Hindley with 19-11 and Glendon Tally with 14-9.

Barbourne AC’s Lee Griffiths returned to winning ways during his club’s latest event on Sion Park fishery.

Offering his pellet bait at just four metres, Griffiths took a mixed bag of fish weighing 56-2-0.

Second was Nigel Hobday with the method feeder on peg three for 52-14.

Consistent Ashley Bosworth secured third spot with 34-4 to beat Danny Baker’s 28-12.
