KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Steve Burr could be joking that he may have to go to church early tomorrow ahead of the game with AFC Wimbledon, but he will be hoping that someone will be smiling down on his team come 3pm.

The Dons went top of the Blue Square Bet Premier with a 2-1 win over then leaders Crawley Town on Thursday night.

But Harriers have developed a mean streak which has seen them go unbeaten in their last five outings.

“We may have to go to church a little earlier tomorrow,” Burr joked. “But the preparation for a Sunday game is no different to any other.

“We are showing our tough side at the moment but there is definitely room for improvement.

“We have put together some pleasing performances and hopefully we can start turning those into victories.”

Harriers have drawn four of their 10 matches this season with the solitary success on Aggborough soil coming against Hayes and Yeading.

Following tomorrow’s visit of Wimbledon, Kidderminster travel to new boys Bath City before facing Crawley at home next Saturday.

Burr is hopeful experienced midfielder John Finnigan will be fit for Tuesday’s trip to Twerton Park having missed all of the season to date with a calf problem.
