AMERICAN forward Justin Dobbins is poised to make his debut for Worcester Wolves tonight (7pm).

The 6ft 8ins powerhouse arrived in the UK on Wednesday to join up with his new team-mates. Director of basketball Paul James will put him straight into the Wolves squad to face Mersey Tigers in the British Basketball League Trophy at the University of Worcester.

“It is great that Justin is finally here,” James said. “He is still finding his legs but will go straight into the squad for our two games this weekend.

“He met up with the players for training for the first time and, depending how quickly he gets to grips with our offensive and defensive plays and how tired he is, will determine how much game time he has.”

Following tonight’s clash with the Tigers, the Wolves travel to Cheshire Jets tomorrow (5.30pm) as they look to complete their first double of the campaign.

James’ side held on for a 70-68 victory over the Jets last Saturday in their opening match of the Trophy.

Following tonight’s match, the Wolves are holding a free meet the players event, however, admission to the game itself isn’t with tickets priced £12 for adults and £6 for concessions, juniors and students.
