IN-FORM striker Stuart Fleetwood believes Hereford United have every reason to be confident of FA Cup success away to Lincoln City today.
The Bulls head to Sincil Bank for their long-awaited second round replay against the Imps, which was postponed three times during the prolonged cold snap.
However, since the 2-2 draw in November 22’s original tie, Hereford have picked up some much-needed points in their battle to avoid relegation from League Two.
Jamie Pitman’s team kicked off the new year with a 2-2 draw against Torquay at Edgar Street and followed that up with a 2-1 win at Aldershot.
It has lifted them off the bottom of the table and only goal difference now separates them from today’s opponents.
Fleetwood, who has netted seven times this season reckons that is the perfect platform for a cup triumph.
He said: “To have just got four points from six games is brilliant and it means that it is a nice distraction to be going to Lincoln.
“We are now within touching distance of the teams around us and can go to Lincoln with some confidence, looking to get into the third round.”
Meanwhile, Hereford have launched a ‘kid-a-quid’ offer for their next League Two match against Stockport County at Edgar Street on Saturday, January 15. It applies to all under 14s.
