TIM Nobes picked up the Worcestershire Grasstrack clubman of the year accolade at their presentation evening.

Nobes was rewarded for his appearances and support in helping the club promote the sport.

For the fourth year running, Worcestershire staged the night at Worcester Rugby Club.

Guest of honour was Scunthorpe speedway captain David Howe, who made a grasstrack return in the county in July.

Paul Minihane, producer of Blood Sweat and Gears on Sky’s Extreme Sports Channel, was another guest.

Oliver Greenwood, 15, was young rider of the year after competing in the adult meetings, while Bruce Eddy was most improved rider and active club member.

The club host meetings at Cladswell Hall Farm, Cookhill, near Inkberrow.

Blood, Sweat and Gears will screen all of the club’s 2011 meetings on April 17, July 17 and October 16.
