NOTTINGHAM have been confirmed as one of the teams Worcester Warriors will face in the impending pool stages of the Championship play-offs.

The Meadow Lane outfit's 40-0 defeat at Cornish Pirates means they will finish fifth in the table.

With the Sixways side having already confirmed top spot, they will face the teams who finish fourth, fifth and eighth in stage two.

As well as Nottingham, Warriors will be up against either Cornish Priates or London Welsh, who are currently third and fourth respectively.

Pirates travel to sixth-placed Doncaster Knights this weekend, while the Dragons finish their league fixtures at home to Nottingham.

The eighth-placed team will be a straight shoot-out between Bristol and Rotherham, who face each other in the final game of the regular season at Clifton Lane this weekend.

While Plymouth could match Bristol's points total, they will remain in the bottom four and face the relegation play-off as the Memorial Stadium side have a better win-ratio.

Worcester will travel to Nottingham on the weekend of March 25/26/27 and then entertain the same opponents the following Saturday (April 2) at Sixways (3pm).

As the first-placed team over the 22-game first stage of the season, top-seeded Warriors will take a three-point advantage into the pool stage.
