TWELVE students from Cobras Tae Kwon Do recorded top-three places at the Independent Schools Midlands Open.

The inter-club tournament was held in Highley in preparation for next month’s British Championships.

First degree black belt Sue Allan won in the tag team sparring, was second in the synchronised patterns with Sophie Potter and first in the executive ladies’ point stop sparring.

Allan’s husband Derek triumphed in the tag team, light continuous and executive point stop sparring.

Cobras have been invited to an international tournament in Texas.

The club have already raised £550 and will do a bag pack at Tesco in Warndon Villages, Worcester, on Saturday, April 16, from 9am until 5pm to raise more. Anyone interested in the Cobras clubs in Worcester, Pershore or Crowle can call Leo Withers on 01562-69916 or 07508-726975.
