WORCESTER Nomads ‘A’ join Cutnall Green in the county finals after finishing second in Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League Division One at the Royal Grammar School.

They will play at Evesham Cricket Centre on Tuesday from 6.30pm after Nomads’ two-wicket win over their ‘B’ team which handed the title to Green.

The ‘B’ side scored 97-3 through Tariq Jamil (34 not out) and Guy Davies (25no).

Nomads ‘A’ needed to lose no more than two wickets to become champions but could only make 99-4.

Steve Walsh (29no) and Steve Case (12no) helped them pass the target with three balls left.

Last year’s champions Droitwich ‘A’ bowed out with a three-wicket win over Worcester, who were dismissed for 96.

Oli Peppiatt (58) dominated for the city before Stuart Bryan (29) and Mike Rogers (29no) guided Spa to 99-3.

Nomads ‘C’ won Division Two with a four-wicket victory over West Malvern, scoring 148-2 in reply to 146-4. Tony Williams (44no) and Glen Collins (40no) starred for West Malvern before Sam Roberts (31no), Jamie Oliver (27no), Dean Oliver (27no) and Malcolm Jones (25no) guided Nomads home.

Old Vigornians scored 152-2 and dismissed Droitwich ‘B’ for 102 in a 50-run success.
