CLASSIC motorcycle scrambling comes to Middle Hill, Park Farm, Hanbury, near Droitwich Spa, on Sunday.

The meeting is a trip down memory lane for both enthusiasts and families.

Riders compete on British machines from the 1950s to the early 1970s such as BSA, Matchless, Cheney and Rickman machinery as well as European two strokes like Bultaco, Husqvarna and CZ.

There are races for solo and sidecars on the fast hillside track, which was used in the 1960s, with several stars and works riders from that period entering.

There is all-round viewing from the top of the hill which is next to the car park. An award is given in honour of two-time world champion Jeff Smith which promises close, fast racing from the top competitors selected on the day.

The new British Thumper class’ final round is also featured with awards for most original and best-prepared bike along with trophies for the top three in the class. The venue is on the B4090 from Droitwich at the junction of the B4091 in Hanbury. Starting at 11am, entrance is £5 and free for children.

Beer tent and refreshments are available at the top of the hill.

Proceeds from the event will go to Hanbury and church charities.
