WORCESTER Cavaliers produced a powerful second-half comeback as they just lost out 34-31 to Newcastle Falcons in theIR final Aviva 'A' League game of the season.
Wing Tom Arscott grabbed a first-half try but Cavaliers found themselves 29-5 down at the break as the hosts used the best of the conditions at Darlington RFC.
However, the Cavaliers refused to throw in the towel and produced a sensational second-half fightback packed full of spirit to push the hosts all the way.
Arscott grabbed his second - and fifth of the Aviva 'A' League campaign - while centre Sione Tu'ipulotu and back-row pair Tom Leach and Alex Rovira crossed the whitewash.
But a contested try from the Falcons in the final minutes settled the encounter as Cavaliers just ran out of time to complete a remarkable comeback in the north-east.
