KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are aiming to set the record straight when they tackle Luton Town in the FA Trophy at Aggborough tomorrow (3pm).

The Hatters won 2-1 on their last visit to Worcestershire in October’s league encounter and are six points better off in the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off places.

Harriers manager Steve Burr felt his side deserved more four months ago and the third-round clash represents a chance to prove it.

As well as carrying a prize of £7,000, victory would take Harriers into the quarter-finals and a step closer to their second Wembley app-earance in five years.

“We should have got something out of the game when they came to Aggborough so we want to try and address that and progress to the next stage,” Burr said.

“It’s a big game for any club playing Luton. We are fortunate to get a home tie but they don’t come any tougher. It’s a stern test for us.

“Even if we manage to progress, we won’t think we have made it because there are a lot of games to be played.”

Burr has called on the fans to play their part in helping Harriers advance at the expense of Gary Brabin’s outfit.

The Harriers boss added: “The crowd have been fantastic at Aggborough and got right behind us.

“The one thing the Kidderminster crowd appreciate is that the boys are having a good go. Whoever we play, we try and do that.”

Right-back Lee Vaughan returns following a knee injury but keeper Tony Breeden, midfielder Lee Hendrie and forwards Marvin Johnson – Harriers’ deadline day signing from Romulus – and Anthony Malbon are cup-tied.

Midfield duo James Vincent and Jack Byrne continue to struggle with knee problems, while defender Tom Sharpe, carried off in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Stockport, has suspected cruciate ligament damage.
