HEREFORD United head to Gillingham tomorrow (3pm) hoping to replicate the form that has served them well on the road this season.

Jamie Pitman’s team have gleaned eight points from their last four away games, winning at Burton Albion and Dagenham and Rebridge, while drawing with Plymouth Argyle and Oxford United.

But the Bulls remain entrenched in a relegation battle in League Two because of a home record that has seen them fail to win at Edgar Street since October.

But, having shown they can mix it with the league’s higher-ranked sides on their travels, Hereford visit Priestfield in good spirits.

Pitman said: “We have done well away from home so we go there with a little bit of confidence knowing we are capable of winning.

“We have got fairly good records against the better sides for whatever reason and need to make sure we stay in the pack to keep us safe.

“The league is as tough as it’s ever been. Everyone can beat each other and that’s the difference in this division to any other – it’s so evenly matched.”

Defender Benoit Dalibard is ready to return to Hereford’s ranks after completing a three-game ban but skipper Stefan Stam (knee) is still out, along with Joe Heath (groin).

Fellow midfielder Simon Clist (groin) is also ruled out but Harry Pell will be ass-essed after results from a knee scan showed no lasting damage. Young striker Richard Peniket, on loan from Fulham, suffered an ankle knock in training and is also doubtful.

Gillingham, just outside the play-off places, are looking to bounce back after losing 4-3 at Accrington last Saturday.
