River hosts large event

THE University of Worcester’s head of the Severn race takes place tomorrow.

Around 100 crews from across the country are expected to be involved in the annual showpiece.

The competition will be split into three divisions with the first and third racing over 6,000-metres and the second over 4,200m.

Racing starts at 9.30am with the last division going off at 2.30pm and all finishing at Worcester Rowing Club’s Grandstand Road base.
