DROITWICH Spa ‘B’ and Worcester Royal Grammar School chalked up Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League Division One wins.

Worcester Nomads ‘A’ (130-4) lost to Droitwich ‘B’ (131-4) by two wickets.

Derek Austin (46 not out) and Ben Schiffmann (21 not out) drove the score on with Paul Bryan taking 2-28 and Mike Rogers 1-28 for Spa.

In reply, Droitwich’s Glen Harrison (25 not out) and Mike Rogers (28 not out) completed the task after earlier efforts from Paul Bryan (31) and Stuart Bryan (21).

RGS (146-1) recorded a comfortable 45-run victory over Bewdley (101 all out).

Dan Goodyear (27 not out), Alex Hills (29 not out), Will Bury (25 not out) and Harry Bates (10 not out) starred as 76 runs were taken from the last five overs.

Matt Cowdery top-scored with 23 as Bewdley fell well short.

In Division Two, title-hopefuls Martley (158-4) beat Malvern (78-3) by 80 runs.

James Ganderton (33 not out), Pat Bibby (39) and Martin Sweet (29 not out) were among those to fire Martley to victory, despite four run-outs.

Rhys Humm (20 not out) and Tom Hale (16 not out) were Malvern’s best batsmen in reply.

Worcester Nomads ‘C’ (139-5) beat Droitwich Spa ‘B’ (110-5) by 29 runs.

The young Nomads team took 53 runs off the first four overs before Alex Milton returned after an earlier retirement to blast 53 not out alongside Malcolm Jones’ 27.

Max Young (34 not out) top-scored for Spa but Jones (0-9 in three overs) and Dean Oliver (0-14 in two) bowled tightly.
