MICHAEL Klinger scored his maiden Worcestershire century but his side’s three-day friendly match at Oxford MCCU ended in a draw.
Australian Klinger struck 120 for the County as the visitors made 464-7 declared in their first innings at The Parks.
James Cameron also made 88, while Vikram Solanki (83), Ben Scott (73) and captain Daryl Mitchell (60) were among the runs.
Oxford, however, were equal to the task and reached 435 all out in their innings, led by Freddie Coleman’s 110 and 92 from skipper Ben Williams.
Jack Shantry accounted for Coleman on his way to figures of 4-102 off 35 overs, while Shaaiq Choudhry took 3-82 off 29.2 and Nick Harrison 2-78 from 23.
Worcestershire, who visit Surrey in the LV= County Championship Division One on Thursday, had reached 34-4 in their second innings, having lost Alexei Kervezee without scoring, Solanki (1), Choudhry (1) and Mitchell (7).
