BUYING tickets for Worcester Warriors’ home games in the forthcoming Aviva Premiership campaign will cost fans up to £5 more per match than last season.

As usual, it is cheaper to purchase tickets in advance from the box office or via the club’s website, while the most cost-effective way to watch the club play is to buy a season ticket.

However, in line with this year’s season ticket price rises, matchday entrance has also gone up.

An adult gold category ticket bought on the day of a game costs £42 compared to £38 last year.

If the same ticket is booked in advance, supporters will pay £38 as opposed to £33 last term.

A silver category seat has also risen by £5 — from £28 to £33 — when booked in advance or £37, up from £33, on the day of the game.

Bronze, blue and standing tickets have increased by between £2 and £4.

Advance sales are up to 4.30pm on the last working day before the match.

Warriors’ managing director Charlie Little said: “We believe our matchday prices represent great value for money right across the Premiership.

“We want as many rugby fans across the region to be able to visit Sixways and really back the Warriors during the 2012-13 campaign as we look to play an attacking and exciting brand of rugby.

“We have also announced our matchday ticket prices because it highlights the real value in our season ticket packages.

“This season, you get the equivalent of five free games by buying a season ticket, plus entrance to our three pre-season fixtures with Scarlets, Rotherham Titans and Plymouth Albion.

“We had several sell-out games again last season and the only way to guarantee your seat for these big games against the likes of Gloucester, Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints and champions Harlequins is with a season ticket.”

As well as 19 home matches, season ticket holders will be entitled to free entry in the Aviva ‘A’ League and priority booking in the latter stages of cup competitions.

Little added: “We are now offering supporters the chance to get a free season ticket for children under 10 when purchased at the same time as a full paying silver or bronze adult.”
