AMY Smith was ninth fastest in the London Olympic 50-metre freestyle semi-finals tonight but it was not enough to go for a dream medal.
The Kidderminster swimmer was knocked out after clocking 24.87 seconds which left her sixth from eight in her swim.
Three other women, including Great Britain team-mate Fran Halsall, were quicker than her in the second semi, meaning no place in the final for Smith.
