Hill: I want a winning mentality for season

HEAD coach Richard Hill wants Warriors to launch themselves into the Aviva Premiership campaign on the back of an unbeaten pre-season.
Hot on the heels of last Saturday’s 30-25 victory at Cardiff Blues, Worcester face three home warm-up matches in a week. Welsh region Scarlets visit Sixways tomorrow (3pm) followed by Championship duo Rotherham Titans on Tuesday and Plymouth Albion on Friday.
They will be the last chances for Warriors to run the rule over players ahead of the opener against Bath on Saturday, September 1.
Hill said: “There are certain things we are working on that we need to see in action at the weekend, against Rotherham on Tuesday and Plymouth next Friday.
“We should be looking to win all three home games. It will stretch the squad a little bit and we will have to be very careful what we do in between those games.”
Hill also believes he is getting closer to his aim of having a dressing room with a united winning mentality.
He said: “If we’re going to get this club into a winning frame of mind and move up the table then you’ve got to trust everyone in that dressing room that no matter what happens they are going to do everything they can and bust a gut to win.”
