EVESHAM United will be boosted by the return of three players for tomorrow’s FA Cup preliminary round encounter at Leek Town (3pm).

Defender Henry Eze, midfielder Neil MacKenzie and forward Lee Osborne are all set to be involved at Harrison Park.

Eze and MacKenzie have completed two-game bans, which meant they missed the 1-0 win against Sholing and 2-1 mid-week victory at Yate in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West, while Osborne has been on holiday.

Leek play at the same level as United in the Northern League and have taken four points from two games.

“It will be like having three new signings,” manager Matt Clarke said: “We probably have the toughest draw you could get, they lost in the play-off final last season so it’s another hard game but we want to keep the momentum going.

“The league is our priority but, at the same time, it would be ideal from a financial point of view to have a run in the cup.

“It’s a tough ask because it’s a difficult match but, with the form we are in and the squad we have, we can get the right result.”

Bank Holiday Monday’s home league game with Merthyr Town (3pm) is subject to potential cup replays for either side.
