EVESHAM United captain Tesfa Robinson has earned a call-up to the St Kitts and Nevis squad for a trio of Caribbean Cup matches next month.

The 26-year-old has been selected for qualifying games against Anguilla on Wednesday, October 10, Trinidad and Tobago on Friday, October 12 and French Guiana on Sunday, October 14.

Robinson is due to fly out on Thursday, October 4, meaning he will miss three of United’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West matches.

He will be absent for the visit of Poole Town on Saturday, October 6 and trips to Cirencester Town and Mangotsfield Town the following Tuesday and Saturday respectively.

Although Evesham will be without their skipper’s services, Robinson’s call-up is a feather in the cap for the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium outfit.

Manager Matt Clarke said: “We will be disappointed to lose him because he’s a good player.

“But it’s good recognition for him and we are pleased that he has got the opportunity to represent his country.”
