SAMOAN speedster David Lemi will wing in for his hundredth Premiership appearance when Lonodn Irish visit Sixways tonight (8pm) and he is planning to mark the occasion with a victory.

Warriors remain winless after four attempts so far this term, but luck has not been on their side with poor officiating twice costing them success.

Worcester fans will be hoping the luck of the Irish is with them tonight rather than the visiting Exiles and Lemi is eager to score the tries to lead his side to a sought-after triumph.

The former Bristol and Wasps winger said: “It’s an honour and a privilege for me to make my 100th appearance. It’s a nice milestone to reach and I’m glad it will come in a Worcester shirt.

“If we can win against London Irish, I will remember it for all the right reasons and it will make the achievement that extra bit special.

“I want to keep working hard. If there are opportunities to score tries, I will make the most of them.

“Hopefully the opportunities will come to finish moves off and score like I did at Welford Road.

“I want to help the team how ever I can every week.

“It’s a 15-man game and you have to do what’s best for the side.

“The reason you play rugby is because you want to win games, so we need to be patient and hopefully the win will come. We need to stay positive and learn from previous games and move forward.”

Lemi added: “In the first-half against Northampton we didn’t see any of the ball, but in the second-half we showed much more confidence. The boys who came on just attacked the Northampton defence and we had nothing to lose. It was great to get four tries and two bonus points.

“The players who came on made a massive impact and they have done all season so we know we have strength in depth if things aren’t going well.”
