City's Lane record ended by Harrogate late show

WORCESTER City conceded an injury-time equaliser as their 100 per cent record at St George's Lane was ended by Harrogate Town.

Danny Glover, on as a second-half substitute, looked to have won the game for the hosts when he headed home from Ellis Deeney's corner 10 minutes from time.

However, two minutes into stoppage-time, City failed to clear their lines inside the six-yard box and Town sub Paul Beesley prodded the ball home to secure a 2-2 draw.

Earlier, City had taken an 11th-minute lead through an own goal from Harrogate skipper Alan White before Dan Clayton equalised with a 25-yard strike 14 minutes later.

Worcester manager Carl Heeley said: "It feels a little bit like a defeat to concede in the last minute of injury-time and it's something that's blighted us this season, it's not the first time it's happened.

"That said, I thought it was probably a fair result, I don't think we quite did enough to win the game and I thought Harrogate would have been slightly unfortunate had they gone home with nothing."

A fair result in the end.
Harrogate always looked dangerous when breaking.
It may have helped if City had kept the ball on the ground instead of hoofing it up in the air for alot of the game. Symonds did not have a good game and should have been the forward to be substituted,
It would have been nice to have had a win especially in front of a decent crowd but not downhearted.
crowd.
