WORCESTER Cavaliers will field their strongest line-up of the season to date at Welford Road for their Aviva ‘A’ League clash with Leicester Tigers tonight (7.30pm).

Hamstrung by the first XV’s injury problems, the Warriors’ second string have suffered a trio of heavy defeats in the first three games of the season as they’ve been forced to send out sides made up of untried youngsters and guest players from local club sides.

However, the Sixways injury list is now easing and a host of familiar players have been included in tonight’s line-up, including a power-packed back row of Neil Best, Blair Cowan and Semisi Taulava.

Fly-half Joe Carlisle and veteran lock Craig Gillies are also included, while prospective cross-code convert Jon O’Donnell, who is on trial at Sixways from rugby league giants Wigan Warriors, starts on the wing.

Worcester Cavaliers: Howard; Nellany, Stelling, Wardle, J O’Donnell; Carlisle, Frost; Porter, Shervington, R O’Donnell, Gillies, Dacres, Cowan, Best, Taulava. Replacements: Hayes, Currie, Ceri Jones, Pool, Young, Farrington, Watkins.
