De Carpentier eyes Warriors deal
Former England Sevens international de Carpentier, who stands 6ft tall and weighs 16st 7lbs, has linked up with Richard Hill’s side for the next month and is eager to impress.
Having recently left Leicester Tigers, where he made just one first team appearance, the 22-year-old former England Students captain, who is a product of the Fylde club in Lancashire, is excited to link up with Warriors’ new-look coaching staff.
De Carpentier, who also had a spell on loan at Nottingham in the Championship last season, said: “It’s a big opportunity for me to join the Warriors. I’m focussed on making a good impression during my trial this month and doing all I can to secure a future at Sixways.
“I really enjoyed my time at Leicester. It was a great experience as my first professional contract to get to train with those players and work with the coaching staff at Welford Road.
“Now I have a big chance to make a mark at Warriors and I’m determined to take it. I’m fit to play and keen to get started at Worcester later this week.
“There is a great feeling around the club at the moment and I’m looking forward to getting involved with the squad to show what I can do and working with the likes of Nigel Redman and Phil Vickery with the forwards.”
