EVESHAM United have been set a target of taking maximum points from their next four home matches.

The Robins embark on a glut of fixtures at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium, starting with tomorrow’s visit of Winchester City (3pm).

Didcot Town, Yate Town and Bridgwater Town are also due to visit in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West over the coming weeks.

With Evesham, who have taken four points from their last two away games, sitting fifth in the table, they are keen to cement their spot among the play-off places.

Assistant manager Rob Elmes said: “It’s a really good opportunity to make a statement to the rest of the league because we feel we should be winning all of our home matches.

“We are going to set a target of 12 points out of 12. Although you are never going to get easy games, they are all winnable.”

Captain Tesfa Robinson is due back after the central defender missed three matches through international duty with St Kitts and Nevis at the Caribbean Cup when his nation won once and lost twice.

Elmes added: “It will be good to have him back on board and he will be a welcome addition to our defence. On paper, we are looking strong in that position.”

Evesham are also hopeful of having striker Marcus Palmer back in their ranks following a knee injury, which forced him to miss last Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Mangotsfield United, while left-back Lee Osborne could return after a thigh problem.
