RICHARD Hill is expecting a physical battle when Italian side Rovigo come to Sixways today (3pm) for an Amlin Challenge Cup clash.

While the Italians are not expected to cause Worcester any serious problems, head coach Hill insists they will not lie down and roll over.

The Warriors chief said: “We can’t go on to the field and suddenly throw the ball around and expect to score loads of tries from the word go. You have to do a job of softening them up because they will be very lively.

“They will be very well organised and they’re treating it very seriously so for the first 20 minutes you can expect to see from the Warriors a direct style of play, trying to soften them up a bit with the forwards.”
