ANTHONY Ottway recorded a unique double at the conclusion of Worcester Golf and Country Club’s medal season.

Ottway, who plays off one, won the Eclectic Trophy and the Scratch Cup. The winning formula for the Eclectic is the best score on each hole, less half handicap. Ottway’s winning score of 50.50 was three shots better than Ron Carver, Andy Abbot and Tony Sanders.

The player with the best four cumulative gross medal scores receives the Scratch Cup and Ottway finished top. His total of 274 was six better than Richard Plews, who was a shot ahead of scratch golfer Lee Richardson.

Plews and Tony English will share the Hallmark Trophy, which is awarded to the player with the best four nett scores from 17 rounds, after both scoring 265.

The junior section’s order of merit was decided on the final day of the season as Will Burgess held off Jordan Wilson and Jordan Hick.
