JOSH Gowling hailed Harriers' midfielders after Saturday's 1-0 win at Dover Athletic.

Jack Byrne bagged a 51st minute winner at Crabble Road after being set up by Kyle Storer.

Aman Verma and Marvin Johnson also probed in a game where Harriers created the games best chances.

It means Kidderminster are unbeaten in six Vanarama Conference games. The win was a boost for manager Gary Whild, who missed the game because of illness.

His assistant Mark Creighton looked after team affairs.

"I didn't think we looked like conceding," said player/coach Gowling.

"We have got some great players in the middle of the park who can create things.

"We knew if we got the ball down and play we would create chances.

"We came off our game plan and started going a little bit direct, that's how Dover got back into the game.

"But once we got our foot on the ball there was only one team who were going to win.

"We said half-time we wanted to raise our level and if we did that we would score.

"It was a great ball from Kyle Storer and Jack Byrne produced a fantastic finish."
