GARY Whild lamented Harriers’ inability to perform for 90 minutes after yesterday’s defeat at Chester.

Kidderminster were edged out 1-0 after Craig Mahon bagged a first half goal.

The Aggborugh outfit had been second best but improved dramatically after the break.

They peppered Jon Wornsop’s goal but Chester’s custodian produced a host of saves, including a world class close range effort to deny Danny Wright.

"I thought the first half was very flat for some reason,” commented the Harriers boss.

"We gave away a sloppy goal, even though it was a decent finish.

"I thought in the second half we showed a lot more desire and their keeper was man of the match, again.”

He added: "You have to play for 90 minutes and we seem to need something to galvanise us.

"That is a disappointment but on the positive side we were a threat in the second half.

"We put balls into the box but their keeper made two or three outstanding saves.

“There keeper was man of the match but I want one of my forwards to be man of the match and that’s not happening.”

Defeat was Kidderminster’s first away defeat in five games but they remain in the final Vanarama Conference play-off spot.

Harriers’ next game is at home to Eastleigh, who are one place below, on Saturday (3pm ko).
