KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are set for a much-needed cash windfall when they receive the final instalment from Joe Lolley’s transfer to Huddersfield Town.
The young winger moved from Aggborough to the Terriers in January 2014 for a fee thought to be in the region of £250,000.
The club are set to receive £50,000 tomorrow.
It’s a lift for the Reds, who are still being financially supported by benefactors Kath and Ernie Lane.
Harriers have also received five-figure fees for Chey Dunkley and Nathan Blissett, who joined Oxford United and Bristol Rovers. It is believed Dunkley joined for £50,000 and Blissett made his switch for £70,000.
Chairman Ken Rae said: “A clause in Chey’s contract was activated and for Nathan we were made a very good offer for a player who was not an ever present in our side.”
Rae confirmed the Reds have turned down one derisory bid for an unnamed SkyBet League One club for highly-rated winger Marvin Johnson, thought to be Yeovil. The offer fell far below Harriers’ six-figure valuation for the winger.
The transfer window closes on 11pm on Monday.
