GARY Whild felt Harriers missed a chance to keep the pressure on their rivals for the Vanarama Conference play-offs after stalemate at relegation-battling Nuneaton.

Kidderminster wasted an opportunity to steal a march on their fellow top ten sides when they were held to a 0-0 draw in a game televised by BT Sport.

The best chance to win the game fell to Lee Hughes in the 15th minute but his close range effort was superbly saved by debut keeper Max Crocombe, on loan from Oxford.

Neither side were aided by a very poor quality pitch, which forced both teams to try long ball games, only for strong winds to disrupt the clash.

Nuneaton created more opportunities but paid the price for their lack of confidence in front of goal.

Whild said: "It is never easy at Nuneaton and they had a great win at Gateshead and Liam Daish has got them working hard.

"But we wanted to get the three points.

"Liam is saying Lee should have scored but it was a decent save.

"One goal would have probably settled it and that summed the game up.

"We came to try and get three points irrespective of the pitch and we didn't do that but the big plus is the clean sheet.

"Josh Gowling was outstanding and so were Nuneaton's defenders."

Two draws in a row mean the pressure is on for Kidderminster to go to promotion rivals Gateshead on Tuesday (7.45pm ko) and get all three points.
