CAPTAIN Josh Gowling has told Harriers fans he is joining Kidderminster's Confernce rivals Grimsby Town on loan.
The defender, who made 118 appearances for Kidderminster, has stated on Twitter he is leaving the club.
Gowling had been offered a new deal for next season but was also out of contract at the end of the season.
He said on Twitter: “Saddest day of my career today. You've inspired me pushed me to do better, made me apart of your family and I will miss you all, Kiddy fans!
“Didn't want to leave but didn't really have a choice. Love you all and i hope the door will be open for me to come back.”
Gowling's departure leaves Kidderminster worryingly short at the back, with Jamie Grimes the club's only recognised centre back. Jordan Tunnicliffe is on loan at Hednesford and cannot be recalled.
A move for Redditch's Clayton McDonald has also fallen through.
