KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will be trying to build on Saturday’s encouraging win over Braintree when they face bottom of the table AFC Telford tomorrow (3pm ko).

Gary Whild’s players have had a tough week after more pay issues arose, which the club are working hard to fix, but they ended a nine game winless streak last weekend.

They head to the New Bucks Head with confidence improved but face a side clinging onto their place in the Vanarama Conference by their finger nails.

Telford have five games left and are 15 points from safety, so their chances of survival are remote.

Victory for Harriers would relegate their local rivals but the manager is expecting a fight.

He said: “Telford are fighting for survival, so they will be giving everything and we can expect it to be tough.”

Jack Byrne is set to be a doubt as his troublesome hamstring injury continues to hamper him, while Craig Reid can’t play because of a rib injury.

Harriers’ opponents are in danger of going down because of their home form and have won in the league at their base operations since November 12.

Telford also defeated Braintree in a mid-week game last week but then suffered a 1-0 defeat Dover last weekend.
