HARRIERS boss Gary Whild believes his patience is set to pay off as the club closes in on several experienced new signings.

The manager is keen to add two or three additions of proven quality to bolster a youthful squad.

While he is working with a tight playing budget, Whild feels his hard work was about to pay off and was hopeful that the club would be able to reveal new signings next week.

With players not able to be registered until the start of July, this is always a nervous time of year for clubs looking to strengthen.

He said: “This is a quiet time of year and a sensitive one because you don’t want to tip off your rivals as to who you’re signing.

“But I am hopeful that in the next few days or by next week we’ll have something to tell everyone.

“We are looking for two or three guys with good experience and quality, who can help the younger guys. We are a long way down the line in terms of talks and I am hopeful.”

With pre-season starting in two week's time preparations for the 2015-16 National League season are set to step up.
