HARRIERS have snapped up former Alfreton and Luton defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner.

The 24-year-old started his career at Leicester City but made his competitive senior debut at Cheltenham Town.

Paul Buckle signed the young defender for Torquay United on a two-year deal, where he made 42 appearances and scored one goal.

He then joined Luton in July 2012 and made 48 appearances, including in the 1-0 win over Premier League outfit Norwich in the FA Cup.

During the 2013-14 season, Rowe-Turner spent two loan spells at Alfreton. He was released by the Hatters in the summer of 2014, when he signed for Alfreton.

Last season, he made 44 appearances but could not prevent Derbyshire side from relegation.

Rowe-Turner, who plays at left-back or centre back, returns to full-time football with Harriers.
