KIDDERMINSTER Harriers suffered humiliation in the FA Cup as they were humbled by Stourbridge at the War Memorial Ground.

The Glassboys made a mockery of the fact they play two divisions below their near neighbours from the Vanarama National League with a dominant performance at the War Memorial Ground.

With Stourbridge flying high in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier and Harriers fighting relegation, this game was expected to be close but goals for Matt Dodd, Justin Richards and Chris Lait only confirmed their complete control.

The game was watched by a sell out crowd of 2,032.

Stourbridge made one change from the side that had lost to Ilkeston, with Dodd in the suspended Ben Billingham.

Harriers made three alterations from their unlucky defeat to Southport.

Perhaps the most surprising was the selection of Alex Palmer in goal for Dean Snedker.

West Brom youth academy defender Kyle Howkins debuted in central defence for the visitors, while Jordan Jones was drafted in after a spell sidelined by injury.

It was Kidderminster, roared on by a 400 strong travelling army, who came out of the blocks quicker but mistakes allowed the Glassboys to take a sixth minute lead.

The away team failed to clear Lait's corner and Dodd squeezed in a shot at the far post, which somehow rolled agonisingly past Palmer, who should have done better.

The goal filled Stourbridge with confidence and they piled on the pressure.

Their excellence at set-pieces paid off when former Kiddy goal-getter Richards bagged a simple 16th minute goal.

Palmer and Harriers' defence failed to react to Leon Broadhurst's well-struck free-kick and Richards was allowed to head home from close range.

Stourbridge had stunned the away side but they nearly pulled a goal back in the 21st minute. Zaine Francis-Angol pounced on a mistake by Stuart Pierpoint but the Stourbridge defender did well to track back and block his shot.

On-loan Bournemouth man Ben Whitfield steered a low long range effort just wide for Harriers.

But the hosts were the more effective going forward and Karl Hawley saw a header blocked by Jared Hodgkiss.

Richards let-fly with a strong 30-yard effort which flew off target.

Harriers nearly pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time but his header hit the woodwork.

But the game was put beyond Stourbridge's illustrious opponents when Lait made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute with a stunning 20-yard low strike.

Harriers threw on towering centre forward Callum and he nearly punished sleepy defending in the 59th minute only to blaze over the bar with only Lewis Solly to beat.

Former Notts County goal-getter Hawley could have added a fourth after winning the ball off a lacklustre Kelvin Langmead but he clipped his effort narrowly wide.

Richards went close again in the 70th minute as he flicked a shot off target.

With a healthy lead, Stourbridge sat back and started absorbing Kidderminster's pressure, with Hassan and fellow substitute Gurjit Singh missing the target.

Shell-shocked Kidderminster could not find a reply to stun classy Stourbridge in the game's closing stages.

While the Glassboys can look forward to the televised draw on Monday evening, winless Harriers were left to lick their wounds and return to their relegation battle in.
