CHAIRMAN Rod Brown has asked the fans to remain patient while Kidderminster Harriers go through their transitional period.
Supporters are furious after Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Stourbridge and concerned by a poor start to the season which has left them bottom of the Vanarama National League without a win.
He said: “The players, management and myself have all indicated that last Saturday’s match and performance fell some way below what we’d expect in terms of a standard.
“We have been clear throughout the summer and season so far that we had a very, very clear and long-term plan for this club and, repairing mistakes of old and building a new foundation was never going to be a quick task.
“The fact is the club has suffered from a legacy of overspend in the last few seasons.
“Changes in management and playing staff have, ultimately, been unavoidable and necessary but, because of those errors of the past, making those changes has proved a costly exercise.
“We have implemented a lot of positive change at the club over the last six months.
"What the club ideally needs is a stabilising factor, and an injection of capital. I have been working hard to that end over the past number of months.
“Your support has been incredible and I can only ask for that to continue."
