COLIN Gordon has said returning pair Gurjit Singh and Jordan Tunnicliffe will play big parts in Kidderminster Harriers’ end of season run-in.

The duo safely came through loan spells at Stourbridge and Sutton Coldfield Town and are set to be thrown into the squads for Kiddy’s Bank Holiday weekend clashes.

The Reds, who are bottom of the Vanarama National League, continue their battle against the drop at Woking on Saturday and at home to Tranmere on Monday (both matches 3pm ko).

Singh still remains one of the club’s top scorers with four goals despite an injury-hit campaign.

The former Tipton Town hitman has also been called up to the Panjab FA’s provisional squad for their upcoming 2016 ConIFA World Championships in May and June.

Tunnicliffe has also been sidelined for most of the season with a hamstring injury.

“It was always the plan to bring them back when they had some games under their belts," said Gordon.

“Gurjit did not play as much as we would have liked at Stourbridge but he’s come back and looked sharp.

“There were a number of clubs interested in signing him on loan but he’s staying here.”

In a further boost for Harriers, Elton Ngwatala has also been given the green light to play after recovering from his knee injury.

Ngwatala has not played since inspiring a 3-2 win over Eastleigh.

Goalkeeper Max O’Leary, who debuted against Lincoln at the weekend, has joined on-loan from Bristol City while Aston Villa left-back Lewis Kinsella has extended his loan spell until the end of the season.

Zaine Francis-Angol, however, will miss the Easter matches after being called up by Antigua & Barbuda for their CFU Caribbean Cup qualifiers against Aruba and St Kitts and Nevis.

“Elton has been given the green light from the surgeon,” said Gordon.

“We’ve got to make sure we manage his return and make sure his fitness is okay.

“We’ve got two games in three days so he won’t be able to play both but he’ll play some part.”

Harriers remain bottom of the table and 11 points from safety with eight games of the season left despite Saturday’s 2-1 win at Lincoln City.

While staying up remains unlikely, Gordon wants a strong end to the season.

He said: “Whatever happens at the end of the season we want to entertain and win as many games as we can.”
