COACH Matt Gardiner said it was a case of 'job done' as Harriers beat Lincoln United to progress in the FA Trophy.

Kidderminster beat their opponents from Northern Premier League Division One South to get to the first round proper.

A brace from Liam Truslove and a strike from Andre Brown saw Harriers win their third successive home game.

Gardiner said: "That was the objective before the game, to get through and make sure we're in the next round, which we've done successfully, so we're happy with that.

"Their goalkeeper has got to be up there for their man of the match. We've created some good opportunities and you could argue we should be finishing those off but the thing for us is that we're getting in their and creating those opportunities and we've just got to make sure we take them earlier in the game.

"But to go 3-0 up again for the third home game in a row is pleasing. The tempo did drop at the end and they got their goal that no one is happy with but fair play to them, they kept going to the end.

"For us to navigate through and get to the next round, that's what we are going to take from the game.

"I think we are in a rhythm. It's a big tick in the box to get to the next round and we can look to the league fixtures in between."

On goalscorer Liam Truslove, who replaced the rested Elton Ngwatala, Gardiner added: "He has done great and that's what Liam brings you. He always gets in there for opportunities so we're really pleased for him today."

Harriers will return to league action when they face Bradford Park Avenue away next weekend.

"It is going to be a difficult place to go but we'll be ready, we'll be prepared and we'll go into it with confidence, " he added.
