KIDDERMINSTER head coach Matt Gardiner hailed his side's professional approach as they beat AFC Telford to progress in the FA Trophy.

Goals from Arthur Gnahoua, Keith Lowe, Mani Dieseruvwe and Jordan Tunnicliffe saw Harriers secure a place in the second round with a 4-0 success at Aggborough.

It was the second time the sides had met this season after United dished out a defeat in the league earlier in the campaign but Harriers made no mistakes this time around.

Gardiner said: "I thought it was a very professional performance. The conditions were very difficult to play so for the boys to go through that second half and finish off with a 4-0 win means everyone is very happy.

"We weren't looking for revenge. We were looking to see how the players are progressing against a very good Telford team. You could see they were up and at it and I thought we stuck to our guns.

"The way we are playing and moving the ball around we know we'll create chances and today we have been clinical at the right times.

"I think the goals have changed the complexion of the game so we're happy with that. But obviously we want more and there are other opportunities where we can potentially score a few more.

"We create opportunities for several of the team so it's nice to see we have got so many on the scoresheet. That's a good sign.

Harriers will now look to Monday's draw to see who they will have to face in the next round.

Gardiner added: "Home draws are good but it's just good to be in the hat. That's always the objective."

Attention will quickly turn to next weekend's home clash against Darlington.

"We'll put that (the draw) to the back of our minds and prepare for next Saturday," added the coach.

"We have got to be ready and will focus on that next one. They are a good team and we'll have to be ready."
