HARRIERS boss John Eustace has praised in-form hitman Joe Ironside after his late leveller at Harrogate.

Ironside netted his second of the game in injury time as the Reds came back to make it 2-2 on Tuesday night.

It had looked like they'd lost the clash when Simon Ainge’s 90th minute header added to Terry Kennedy's first half strike for the hosts, but Ironside struck even later to earn a share the spoils.

It was the forward's 14th of the campaign and his sixth in his last five games after also finding the net during Saturday's 3-0 success over Gainsborough Trinity at Aggborough.

Eustace said: "Everyone knows how good Joe is. He's maturing nicely and we're pleased that he's doing so well at the moment and finishing the back of the net.

"There is definitely even more to come from him as well. He still has lots of potential and can only get better for us."

On the overall showing at Harrogate, the boss added: "We came away disappointed not to get the win.

"We had to come from behind twice so it was still a good point but we wanted to get all three.

"We did show a lot of character to get back into the game though and that was really pleasing to see."

The Reds will now look to add to their seven game unbeaten sequence when they go to Chorley this Saturday.

Their opponents sit just one place and one point behind them in eighth.

Eustace said: "Things are going okay at the moment but we are only focused on another tough game this weekend.

"We'll make sure we prepare correctly because they're a good side."

Eustace has no major injury concerns heading into the weekend but says a few knocks will have to be assessed before the trip to Lancashire.

Meanwhile, Harriers will stage a Fan Forum evening at Aggborough Stadium in the new year.

Chairman Colin Gordon will be joined by manager John Eustace and head of coaching Matt Gardiner as they answer questions from supporters.

The event will take place on Wednesday, January 10 at 7.30pm at the Aggborough Suite.

Tickets are on sale now at £8 each which includes a chicken and chips supper. Tickets can be purchased at the Aggborough ticket office or online at khfcstore.co.uk.
