BOSS John Eustace was left to rue missed chances after Harriers suffered a rare home defeat against promotion rivals Harrogate Town.

The Reds lost 2-0 as their 17-game unbeaten league run was halted by the second-placed visitors.

It was also Kidderminster's first loss at Aggborough since the opening day of the campaign.

Eustace said: "Obviously we're really disappointed with the result. It was a real tough game and I didn't think there was much in it.

"They're a good team and have got the three points.

"When we went 2-0 down just after half time I was really happy with the lads' efforts. We could have nicked a couple of goals but it wasn't to be so the run has ended.

"They had a good game plan but we still created a lot of chances in the second half and I thought we passed the ball really well. If we'd have taken those chances it might have been different.

"There are loads of positives to take out of it. Yes, we've lost the game, but we're still in there, still fighting and we'll look forward to the next game."

The manager has now called for a reaction when his players go to Darlington next Saturday.

He added: "Next week is going to be just as tough as today. Every game is a difficult game but all I want next week is a reaction. I want good attitudes from the boys and hopefully we can put in a strong performance."
