DISAPPOINTED Harriers boss Steve Burr felt his side paid the price for a sloppy display in last night’s FA Trophy loss to Luton Town at Aggborough.
The Aggborough outfit were shot down by goals for Jake Howells and Stuart Fleetwood.
Between those strikes, Dan Bradley had scored, before an error by captain Mike Williams allowed Fleetwood to fire the Hatters ahead on the stroke of half-time.
Luton continued to be the better side in the second half but Harriers saw what looked like a legitimate goal by Nick Wright ruled out for offside late on.
“It was an opportunity missed but probably too many players were off their game and that was disappointing.
“We just looked sloppy at times, I mean we created chances again and we thought there was nothing wrong with Nick Wright’s late goal, but you have to live with some decisions that are made.
“Saying that, I thought Luton played good football and if not for bad finishing and good goalkeeping from Dean Lyness it could have been more comfortable for them.
“I just felt we handed them too many opportunities and the goal just before half-time was a bad one for us to concede.”
