Harriers have captured their third new face of the summer with the addition of winger Ricky Shakes.

The 27-year-old Guyanan international has signed on a one-year deal at Aggborough.

He was a free agent after five years at Ebbsfleet United.

He began his career with Bolton Wanderers, scoring on his debut there in an FA Cup tie.

He spent time out on loan in the 2004-05 and it was for one of these sides, Bury, that Shakes memorably netted against Harriers in a crucial game at Aggborough.

After leaving the Reebok he moved to Swindon Town and later to Brentford, racking up a combined total of more than 100 appearances for the two clubs.

He moved into the non-league scene with the Fleet in 2008 and has featured in over 150 games for Liam Daish's men; he regularly notches goals from a wide position and has consistently proved a thorn in the side of Harriers teams with his pace over recent campaigns.

He's also made six appearances for his country, representing Guyana, and is also part of their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Shakes joins fellow new signings Cheyenne Dunkley and Danny Pilkington in supplementing Steve Burr's squad for 2012-13.

With today's addition of striker Steve Guinan, Harriers boast 19 players for next season.
