Harriers go Dutch with unveiling of new strips
9:00am Thursday 26th July 2012 in News
Harriers are emulating Dutch masters Ajax with the unveiling of their new kit for the 2012-13 campaign.
The new home strip takes a novel twist on the traditional red and white to make it similar to the famous shirts worn by the four-time kings of Europe, while the away kit is also a mix of bright yellow and blue.
Kidderminster firm MG Sportswear produced the clothing and managing director Gino Ruffinato believes the use of modern lightweight fabrics makes it one of the most modern football tops in the whole of the country.
Ruffinato, who is also a Harriers board member, said: “The tops are ultra modern and surpass anything that the other manufacturers have made.
“We wanted to produce a top which is attractive to the fans and has all the benefits of lightweight materials.
“The design came from discussions with manager Steve Burr, he expressed his opinions and we used them as the inspiration.”
The new tops went on sale from 9am tomorrow morning at the Harriers shop at Aggborough ahead of the friendly against a Wolverhampton Wanderers XI.
