A KIDDERMINSTER Harriers game is the centre of match-fixing allegations after one of their fixtures was highlighted in a major investigation.
The Skrill Premier clash against Alfreton Town on December 14, 2013, has been flagged in a report made by Federbet – a group of European casino owners and bookmakers which monitors suspicious gambling patterns – to the European Parliament. It is one of 13 English fixtures highlighted, eight of which are in Skrill North and South.
Harriers lost the game 3-1, conceding three second-half goals and having striker Amari Morgan-Smith sent off for two yellow cards.
There is no suggestion that any Harriers players or officials were involved in any form of match-fixing.
Five other fixtures were in Skrill North, the division Worcester City play in, while there were three from Skrill South, two from the League of Wales, one other in the Skrill Premier and one from the Women’s Premier League.
