DIDCOT striker John Mills helped himself to a hat-trick to leave Evesham United still searching for their first home win in the Southern League South & West Division after a 3-1 defeat.

Robins manager Paul Collicutt relied on the same starting eleven that drew against Wimborne at the weekend and saw his side enjoy the better of the opening exchanges before going in front on 32 minutes. Ashley Edenborough provided the cross that was headed home by Sean Wood.

Mills, however, opened his account six minutes later and that’s how the score remained until Mills struck again eleven minutes into the second-half with another precise finish.

Evesham then squandered a penalty following a foul on Edenborough and Jared Wilson had his spot-kick saved by James Foster. Mills then punished the miss by completing his hat-trick on 68 minutes.
